The following was written by a friend, a once Muslim (Palestinian) terrorist. He was born and raised in Palestine and spent time in an Israeli prison for terrorist activities. He offers some interesting insights into Islamic Fundamentalism, Usama bin Laden and the way the terrorists think.

If my friend went back to Palestine now he would be imprisoned for his views on Islam and for sympathizing with Israel and the West. Even if you don't read it, forward it to your friends. It is obvious that he knows how a terrorist thinks (he used to be one). After leaving prison he was worse than when he went in. He hated Jews and the West. Fortunately, someone changed his heart. Now he meets with Jews regularly and has some close Jewish friends.

ISLAM, RELIGION OF PEACE?

I feel compelled to give you a brief crash course on Islam, Jihad, peace, and Islamic tolerance, and what I
am providing here is a spec of the whole picture. Especially today since Muslims are succeeding in
convincing America with it's Media, the Government (including the president) that Islam is a peace-loving
religion.
While it is true that one can find many peaceful verses in the Quran(word of Allah) and Hadith(word of
Muhammad) such as: "Who so ever kills a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and who so ever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind," (Al-Ma'dah:32).
While this very statement we hear being repeated on the media is found in the Cabala's Jewish book, one
can find extreme violence in the "sacred" writings of Islam as well. The Muslim arguments has always been to justify the killings by comparing Old Testament verses of Joshua's conquest who destroyed the Canaanites after they refused for hundreds of years the perverseness by burning thousands of children on a
ball of fire feeding the god Molech. While this command was to single out on the Philistines with no Jew or Christian applying them in general term today.
Islam however makes Jihad to either submit or die to the entire world, especially to Christians and Jews.
At the same rate excludes the Philistines of today(Palestinians) from any punishment when they heap
havoc by massacring Jewish civilians. Unfortunately, the world today will ignore that Israel has suffered
terror more then any other nation. But for the sake of peace and tolerance of religion, will look the other
way by forcing the Jews to give up land for peace. What Americans need to learn is that fundamental Islam
is simply to go back to the sacred manuals and official writings collected regarding not only civil law, but government, and daily life as well. Islam does not separate mosque(deen) from state(ummah).
So today, Islamic nations fall under two categories:
1 - Nations that follow only civil code of Islam (marriage divorce)
2 - Nations that revert to the fundamentals and apply civil code, as well as government and all way of life
as we see in Iran, Afghanistan, and Sudan.
When any nation reverts to #2 involving government and world affairs, the official Islam clearly teaches:  "O believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you, and let them find in you a harshness; and know
that Allah is with the God fearing" (Sura al-Tawba 9:123).
 
Who are the unbelievers? The answer is simple - anyone who is NOT Muslim.
That is why in Sudan 1.5 million Sudanese Christians were annihilated in the last 10 years or so. It is why
Afghanistan's Taliban will rather wage war against America instead of giving up it's  terrorist thugs.
Usama Ben Laden VS Muhammad:
If Islam is a peaceful religion as they say, then Muhammad the prophet of Islam and it's founder, will
be peacefull as well. Let's look at Usama bin Laden's statements in comparison with Muhammad and the Quran.
 
Usama: "In our religion, we believe that Allah has created us for the purpose of worshipping him. He is
the one who has created us and who has favored us with this religion. Allah has ordered us to make holy wars and to fight to see to it that His word is the highest and the uppermost and that of the unbelievers the
lowermost."
Muhammad:  "I have been ordered by Allah to fight with people till they testify there is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger." Abbas in Sahih al-Bukhari (Part 1), 13.)
What part of "fight" does the west not understand? Usama clearly teaches Muhammadan commandments when he preached: "When the holy war called, thousands of young men from the Arab Peninsula and other countries answered the call and they came from wealthy backgrounds. Hundreds of them were killed in
Afghanistan and in Bosnia and in Chechnya.We do not have to differentiate between military or civilian. As
far as we are concerned, they are all targets"
So the question would be, did Muhammad spare civilians? Did Muhammad terrorize? Well, it depended
on his mood for mercy on each occasion. The account of Kinana the Jewish Rabbi who was captured after battle with the Jews in Saudi Arabia is well recorded: "Kinana was brought to the apostle who asked him
about it. He denied that he knew where it was. A Jew came (T. was brought) to the apostle and said that he had seen Kinana going round a certain ruin every morning early. When the apostle said to Kinana, "Do
you know that if we find you have it I shall kill you?" he said "Yes". The apostle gave orders that the
ruin was to be excavated and some of the treasure was found. When he asked him about the rest he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr b. `Al-Awwam, "Torture him until you extract what he has," so he kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead. Then the apostle delivered him to Muhammad b. Maslama and he struck off his head, in revenge for his brother Mahmud" (Ibn Hisham, "Sirat Rasulallah", as translated by A. Guillaume under the title "The Life of Muhammad", page 515. "T." refers to the reading according to al-Tabari. It is also supported by Sunan of Abu Dawud, Book 19, Number 2996.

No Muslim denies these statements.

The first terrorist incident involves Muhammad's command to his followers to "kill any Jew that comes
under your power". From Guillaume, op cit, page 369.
Usama on one of his fatwas stated:  "kill civilians including all those who participate in, or help the Jewish occupiers in killing Muslims" "We are certain that we shall - with the grace of Allah - prevail over the Americans and over the Jews, as the Messenger of Allah promised  us in an authentic prophetic statement when He said the Hour of Resurrection shall not come before Muslims fight Jews and before Jews hide behind trees and behind rocks. We are certain - with the grace of Allah - that we shall prevail over the Jews and over those fighting with them.. I am one of the servants of Allah. We do our duty of fighting for the sake of the religion of Allah. It is also our duty to send a call to all the people of the world to enjoy this great light and to embrace Islam and experience the happiness in Islam.
Our primary mission is nothing but the furthering of this religion. ... Let not the West be taken in by
those who say that Muslims choose nothing but slaughtering. Their brothers in East Europe, in Turkey
and in Albania have been guided by Allah to submit to Islam and to experience the bliss of Islam.." (Usama bin Laden, Interview with John Miller may,1998).
These statements match the verses and hundreds others, and the whole of the Muhammadan orders are clear with no room of any other interpretation.  Usama simply follows his faith. He got his instructions from Muhammad who stated: "The Last Hour would not come till the Muslims fight against the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them until the Jews hide themselves behind the stones and trees, and the stones and trees would speak up saying: "O Muslim! O slave of Allah! There is a Jew hiding behind me; come and kill him." The _Ghardaq_ tree would speak, for it is the tree of the Jews." (Muhammad the prophet of Islam, narrated by Abu Hurraira).
Yet all the media and government including the president keep repeating the phrase that Islam is a religion of peace, that the Muslim fundamentalists are not following true Islam. This is plain nonsense.
 
The truth is that it's the other way around. The fundamentalists get their commandments from the
highest authority - the Quran in which was etched from a stone replica written by Allah in heaven with the
following commandments regarding non-Muslims: "Fight against those who believe not in Allah and
the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger have forbidden -- such men as practice not
the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book(the Bible) -- until they pay Jezzieh
(taxes for non-Muslim) out of hand and have been belittled" (Islamic Holy Quran, Sura al-Tawba 9:29).
Jizzieh is only applied to Christians and Jews.
I suggest you get a book called The Decline of Eastern Christianity Under Islam: From Jihad to Dhimmitude: "Islam Unbound & Uncovered" by: Bat Ye'or. It outlines the so-called golden age of Islam and details all the evil deeds to minorities.
What about moderate Muslims?
In response to the bloody attack against civilians in the U.S., Saudi Arabia's Sheikh Yusuf who is considered a moderate by many issued a statement Wednesday saying that: "Our hearts bleed for the attacks that has targeted the World Trade Center [WTC], as well as other institutions in the United States despite our strong oppositions to the American biased policy towards Israel on the military, political and economic fronts.

"Islam, the religion of tolerance, holds the human soul in high esteem, and considers the attack against
innocent human beings a grave sin, this is backed by the Qur'anic verse which reads: "Who so ever kills a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind, and who so ever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind," (Al-Ma'dah:32). "I have been asked several questions on TV programs and on public lectures about the martyr operations outside the Palestinian territories, and I always answer that I do agree with those who do not allow such martyr operations to be carried out outside the Palestinian territories. (Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, Sept 13, 2001, Saudi Arabia). So terror is only ok as long as the victims are Jews in Israel.
The difference between moderate Islam and fundamental Islam is very little. The moderates wage Jihad on a national scale, and if the enemies of Islam retaliate or wages war against the Islamization, it would be
considered as an act of war against Muslims in which the orders from the Quran are strictly to: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for
mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;" (Islamic Holy Quran 5:33).
What part of crucifixion and cutting against who surrenders doesn't anyone understand?
In Afghanistan, they didn't take prisoners of war, Russian soldiers were literally raped and chopped to pieces. Skinning someone while alive and public shooting is a daily thing in Afghanistan.
 
Yes there are many kind and tolerating verses in Islamic writings, but these are only used today in order to propagate Islam in the West, before a Holy war is waged. Mohammed, the founder of Islam, was quoted as saying, "Invitation first (that is, call them first to embrace Islam). If they refuse, then war." So your rights are only exercised  after you submit. Anything unclear about this order? This is moderate Islam and neither moderate or fundamentalists would disagree on these verdicts.
Indeed the countries that have came back to the old legislation have one thing in common - disasters. Like
I said, since it has been adopted by Sudan (1983), 2 million Christians have been starved and killed
unnecessarily in order to force them to Islam. The war against terrorism will not cover Iran, Sudan, Libya,
Palestine, or Syria. It is only the fundamentalist cells that operate within these regions. But the question we should ask is - wasn't Hitler a terrorist? Pakistan, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and all these so called moderates still kill Christians. Aren't these acts of terrorism?
Islam in itself is global terror. In the past it did not stop in only converting the desert dwellers. Paul
Fregosi's book, "Jihad"  sums it up: "The story begins around 650 C.E. with the first, unsuccessful siege of Constantinople, and continues with the invasion and occupation, sometimes for hundreds of years, of many European countries. Italy, Sicily, Portugal, France, Spain, Austria, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Rumania, Wallachia, Albania, Moldavia, Bulgaria, Greece, Armenia, Georgia, Poland, the Ukraine, and eastern and southern Russia were all battlefields where Islam conquered or was conquered in violent conflicts marked by cruelty, bloodlust, and a fearful loss of life, spread over considerably more than a thousand years. "Though Sura 2:256 states, "There is no compulsion in religion".
"Islam to the world". This is the plan and the banner carried in all Islamic demonstrations. And what about
Muslims who leave the faith. Do they have the freedom of choice? Does America think that the peace loving Islam have abolished the death penalty for anyone who leaves the faith? Today in Afghanistan, the Arab Emirates, Pakistan(our ally), Saudi Arabia(another so called ally), and Sudan, the death penalty is being exercised quite often against anyone who even questions Islam or leaves the faith.
Pakistan has the "blasphemy" law. I suggest you look into it. All for the sake of conscience convert to
another religion? Also, the Hadith states: "Who relinquishes his faith, kill him" (Abbas in Sahih of al-Bukhari (Part 9), 19. Attested by numerous Islamic scholars.)
 
It seems that all Muslim scholars support the death penalty for anyone who leaves Islam without exception.

What the west doesn't understand is that according to Islam, Sura 2:256, which teaches freedom of religion, is no longer valid as it has been abrogated by later revelations which were given to Mohammed.
In his book, How to Perfect the Science of the Quran (Al-Itqan), writes Mr. Al-Syoti, in volume 2 page 37;
"The Verse of the Sword has abrogated (annulled, cancelled) one hundred and twenty four Quranic verses
and all what came in the Quran on matters of forgiving and ignoring, unbelievers have been replaced
(Mansookha), by the verse of the sword."
This is also conferred by the highest of the interpreters of the Quran. For further evidence refer to the following; Kitab Al-Nasekh Wal-mansookh, by Al-Neesaburi. Al-Hafeth Ibnu Katheer Ibin Abas. Al-Tasheel Lulum Al-Tanzeel. Al-Husain Ibn Fadl. Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Hazm. Al-Muhaqiq Abu Al-Qasim
Hibatullah Ibn Salameh. Al-Sudy Wa-AlDahak. Muhammad Abdulsalam Faraj.
The evidence on the abrogation of verses which calls for tolerance and patience cannot be refuted. People
in the West today need to be awakened, they cannot ignore what is really taught in the East, that is; to
Islamize the West. Again, the banners one sees in all Islamic rallies and demonstrations proves the point -
"Islam to the World."
The greatness of any system is measured on how they treat their minorities. Today in Afghanistan the Omar (second Chaliph of Islam) declaration is being enforced. The non-Muslims Hindus are required to put a distinctive yellow patch on their shoulder.
Little is known that in many Arab and Islamic countries Jews were forced to wear distinctive clothing and even a "yellow badge" on their shoulders way before the Nazi era. So, where did all this come from? It came from the highest Islamic legislations. Omar bin Al-Khattab, the friend of Muhammad the prophet and
the second Khalifah of Islam. His edict was carried out for many centuries throughout the east.
In the ninth century, for example, Baghdad's Caliph Al-Mutawakkil designated a yellow badge for Jews,
setting a precedent that would be followed centuries later in Nazi Germany. The facts are that such systems
were not an invention that started in Germany's Nazi era.
A comparison between Nazi law towards Jews and Dhimmi Law in the Omar Charter will find much in common:
 
Nazism: Jews need to wear an identifiable mark on their clothing to identify them as Jews. The star of David for an identification with the word (Jude) on the chest. A yellow banner is to be fixed around the shoulder or arm, as to be recognized as a Jew. They must live in the Jewish Ghettos.
Islam: Dhimmis (Jews & Christians) must wear identifiable clothing and live in a clearly marked house. For Jews, a yellow banner is to be fixed around the shoulder or arm, as to be recognized as a Jew. (Omar Charter, Faqeeh Al-Muluk, volume 2, pages 124-136).
Nazism: Jews are not admitted to serve in the army or navy. They are not allowed to bear arms.
Islam: He must not ride a horse or bear arms. He must yield the right-of-way to Muslims. (Omar Charter,
Faqeeh Al-Muluk, volume 2, pages 124-136).
Nazism: Jews cannot hold public offices, whether national state, or municipal. salaried or honorary,
are closed to Jews. Jews cannot be Judges in criminal and disciplinary cases. Jews cannot serve on juries.

Islam: Dhimmis (Jews & Christians) cannot be a witness in a legal court except in matters relating to other
"dhimmis" (Jews & Christians) or be a judge in a Muslim court. (Omar Charter, Faqeeh Al-Muluk, volume
2, pages 124-136).
Nazism: A compensation for the protection that Jews enjoy as aliens, they must pay double the taxes the
Germans pay. (The War Against The Jews, Anti-Jewish Legislation, Lucy Dawidowicz, p75).
Islam: A compensation for the protection that dhimmis (Jews & Christians) enjoy, they must pay "Jezzieh", a special tax to be imposed on dhimmis (Jews & Christians) only. (Omar Charter, Faqeeh Al-Muluk,
volume 2, pages 124-136).
Nazism: The marriage with Jews is prohibited. Adoption of Jews and by Jews is prohibited. (The War Against The Jews, Anti-Jewish Legislation, Lucy Dawidowicz, p84).
Islam: He cannot be the guardian of a Muslim child, the owner of a Muslim slave. (Omar bin Al-Khattab. The Second  Khaliph and the Prophet Muhammad's friend in his Charter, Faqeeh Al-Muluk, volume 2, pages 124-136).
Omar derived his covenant from the highest of Islamic source - Muhammad the prophet of Islam:
1. Killing of converts (after being warned for three days) [Saheeh Bukhari 9:57]
2. Orders that non-Muslims are to be fought until they believe in Islam or pay Al-Jizyah Tax [Quran 9:5,29
and Saheeh Bukhari 4:196]
3. In a Muslims society, if a Muslim kills a non-Muslim, the Muslim isn't killed [Saheeh Bukhari 9:50] while a Muslim who kills a Muslim and a non-Muslim who kills a Muslim is to be killed [Quran 2:178 and Sunan Al-Tarmithi - 1401]
4. Mohammad practiced and expelled all Jews, Christians and Pagans from the Arabian Peninsula [Saheeh Bukhari 4:392 and 5:716]
5. Muslims are ordered to push the non-Muslims to the narrowest part of the road when meeting them [Saheeh Muslim 25:5389]
This hatred towards Jews and Christians stems from the prophet of Islam himself. We must always keep in mind that a Jewish Holocaust occurred in Saudi Arabia, which was carried by the prophet of Islam Himself.
Muslims have always explained this away as by claiming that they betrayed the prophet, nevertheless, the end results was a mass slaughter of all the men of the Quraiza Jewish tribe who surrendered. The killing of
the men went on day and night, one by one was be-headed and both the heads and the bodies were
thrown into a ditch. The women were split among the Muslims.
Muhammad the prophet of Islam had Safiyya bint Huyaayy ibn Akhtab the daughter of the tribe's leader after he killed her husband and brother. He took his God given trophy on the same night.
Why and how do they say Islam teaches peace is beyond me !!!
